Squash Borers
Squash borers often make leaves wilt. Trace back to the first wilted leaf
and look for castings from holes in the stem. With a sharp penknife
slit the stem up and down lengthwise through the center or
with a small oil can force a few drops of carbon disulphide into
the hole. Finally cover the stem with earth at one or two points
to help it take root. Leave the end uncovered.
