Ants - Garden Pests

Ants that make large nests are easy to destroy. Thrust a hoe handle deeply into the hill and pour in an ounce  of carbon disulphide. Stamp the hole closed. The fumes are not only poisonous but highly explosive so never have a flame -not even a spark- near it. Don't fear its poisonousness as no one is likely to be injured by it  because it is so vile smelling a second whiff will not willingly be taken!
