Snowberry
Snowberry plants will bear larger berries more profusely if all their stems
are cut close to the ground each spring. The berries are developed
on only the young, green shoots, whether these spring from the
ground or are developed as branches on older stems. In the latter
case the bushes tend to become straggly and to bear fewer and smaller
berries the older they get.
