Fruit Tree Bark

Loose bark on old fruit trees hides many bug eggs and cocoons. Spread sheets where they will catch  the droppings which you scrape off with an old file, rasp or similar tool. Avoid wounding the inner bark, but  don't be alarmed about slight abrasions.
