TREE INJECTION
There are many schools of thoughts concerning tree injections. While research
has shown that fungicides and certain nutrients (such as iron) can be placed
into the tree's xylem quickly, it can't be ignored that holes or wounds
are created in the tree. These wounds have to heal, and that may take some
of the tree's energy. Wounds provide an opening for insects or diseases.
Research does indicate that repeated injections will harm a tree. Only
a professional or certified arborist should inject a tree. Make sure to
read all literature provided.
