BIENNIALS
Plants that live only two years and die are called biennials. Plants usually
grow vegetatively (producing leaves) the first year and flowering the second.
Common biennials include: Foxglove (Digitalis), Money Plant (Lunaria),
Lupines, sweet williams (Dianthus), Canterbury bells, hollyhocks, leeks
(Allium), parsley, and cabbage.
