MANURE--ANIMAL

 

Notes:
 
 

Goat manure:  extremely mild smelling

Horse manure:  may contain many weed seeds from hay

Pig manure:  breaks down slowly

Turkey manure:  feces usually contain urine since both are excreted together

Worm manure:  excellent soil conditioner and propagation.
 

MANURE--CATS AND DOGS

Cat and dog manure should not be used on a garden or in a compost pile due to the fact that the feces can contain disease and parasitic organisms that can cause toxic plasmosis. Dispose of cat and dog wastes through proper sanitary methods.
